Jihad creeping through small-town America

From Esteban Matamoros, a letter to the editor of a small-town newspaper:
It has come to my attention that your newspaper recently ran an article entitled "...Muslim leader condemns cartoons." The content of the article calls into question your organization's knowledge of the facts in the case and your judgment.
The Danish cartoons were not published to insult or abuse anyone; they were originally requested because a book publisher was unable to find any artists to illustrate one of their projects. This was for fear of ending up nearly beheaded in the name of Allah as was Theo van Gogh. It is clear the cartoons were solicited as an expression of freedom of speech in defiance of the intimidation and threats coming from Islam (a freedom you no doubt find valuable).
The imam quoted in your article condemned the publication of the cartoons. This raises several questions:
-Why does he not condemn the violent, murderous behavior of Muslims rioting around the world about cartoons?

-Why does he not condemn Islam's murderous behavior against non-Muslims around the world?

-Why is he allowed to claim his people are "peaceful" without being challenged, when thousands of Muslims around the world are burning and stoning and killing (and threatening to do so) in the name of Islam?

-Why would your organization give a public platform to someone's whose perspective is so clearly contrary to the Liberty for which so many Americans have sacrificed life, limb, and treasure?
Instead of giving a public platform to someone advocating the silencing of criticism of Islam, why not alert the public to the very real threat posed by those living among us whose god commands (and whose false prophet claims):
"...fight and slay the Pagans wherever ye find them, and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war); but if they repent, and establish regular prayers and practise regular charity, then open the way for them: for Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful" (Qur’an 9:5).
"Fight...the People of the Book [Jews and Christians], until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued" (Qur'an 9:29).
"...fight them on until...there prevail...faith in Allah altogether and everywhere" (Qur'an 8:38-8:39).
"Fighting is prescribed for you, and ye dislike it. But it is possible that ye dislike a thing which is good for you, and that ye love a thing which is bad for you. But Allah knoweth, and ye know not" (Qur'an 2:216).
“Muhammad said, ‘A single endeavor of fighting in Allah’s Cause is better than the world and whatever is in it’” (Bukhari Volume 4, Book 52, Number 50).
"Remember thy Lord inspired the angels (with the message): 'I am with you: give firmness to the Believers: I will instill terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers: smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger-tips off them'" (Qur'an 8:12).
“Allah’s Apostle said, ‘I have been made victorious with terror. The treasures of the world were brought to me and put in my hand’” (Bukhari Volume 4, Book 52, Number 220).
These citations are from Islam's own holy texts (Qur'an and Hadith). They are Allah and Mohammed's own words and explain why for fourteen hundred years, whenever strong enough Islam has fought against, subdued and humiliated, and killed non-Muslims in the name of its god.
Will this newspaper (and others) respond in defiance of the tyranny of Allah, or will it cower and tremble as so many other purported defenders of Freedom of Speech in the West have done?
